The evaluation service is conducted by mail. An evaluation is processed upon receipt of the following

  • Application for Experiential Learning Evaluation (See Attachment)
  • Supporting Documentation (see section 4a)
  • Fees (see section 3)

2a. Standard Processing Time

An evaluation is completed within twenty (20) business days from the date documents listed in Section 4 have been received. Evaluation reports are sent by standard U.S. First Class mail. For special delivery services see section 3d below.

2b. RUSH Service

ACEI offers a Ten-Business Day RUSH Service for completing an Experiential Learning Evaluation. The RUSH service goes into effect from the date all required documents, fees, and application have been received by ACEI. The RUSH Service does not include express mailing of the evaluation. The fee for the RUSH Service is in addition to the evaluation Fee. (See Section 3 COST.)

3a. Experiential Learning Evaluation Report Fees: $600.00
3b. Extra Copies:

The Experiential Learning Evaluation Report Fee includes one official report and one duplicate copy.

  • Cost for each extra official report at the time of application and evaluation: $30.00
3c. Rush Service (additional cost)

Ten (10) Business Days $200.00 extra

  • Overnight courier service (domestic/US only): $30.00/each mailing
  • Overnight courier service (oversea/international): $60.00/each mailing
3e. Methods of Payment

Payments of fees must be made in U.S. dollars by Personal Check, Cashier’s Check, Money Order, or International Money Order (drawn on a U.S. bank) made payable to the Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, Inc. or ACEI or by credit card (MasterCard/Visa only).

DO NOT SEND PERSONAL CHECK FOR RUSH SERVICE EVALUATIONS. All returned personal checks will be subject to $30.00 service/bank fee.

The following information is required for an experiential learning evaluation

If any formal education has been completed, documentation such as transcripts in support of the education must be submitted. In addition, copies of any certificates, diplomas, or degrees earned must also be provided. All academic documents in a language other than English must be accompanied by certified English translations unless studies were completed at institutions in countries which routinely issue transcripts in English.

4b. Resume/Curriculum Vitae

A detailed resume/curriculum vitae of work experience to include the following:

  • Complete dates of employment
  • Names and addresses of employers
  • Location (city and country of employer)
  • Profile on the employer(s) (brochures or other literature describing the activities, services or products of the company or employment)
  • Positions held
  • Detailed descriptions of duties, responsibilities and accomplishments
  • Description of the specific learning acquired through work experience
4c. Letter of Recommendation

Letter(s) for current and/or former employer(s) verifying the work experience highlighted in the resume/curriculum vitae. Letter(s) must be written on company letterhead by the supervisor or individual to whom applicant reported. Letter(s) must verify dates of employment, positions held and job duties and accomplishments.

4d. Documents (other)

Documentation supporting any of the following must be submitted:

  • Commendations
  • Newspaper Articles
  • Job Descriptions (must be verified by an official of the organization)
  • Military Records
  • Awards/Honors
  • Promotion Evaluation Reports
  • Seminars, Workshops, In-Service Training
  • Teaching/Instruction experience
  • Licenses (pilot, broker, real estate, etc.)
  • Artistic Works & Accomplishments Relevant to Work Experience (e.g. photographs, art work, speeches, designs, publications)
  • Audiovisual Presentations Relevant to the Work Experience (e.g. audiotapes, slides, videotapes, etc.)
